I cannot say enough good things about STAR, Dr. Fortin, and his staff. I struggled with shoulder/rotator cuff for years. The very good orthodox always recommended an invasive surgery with long and painful recovery. Dr. Fortin and his staff provided patient and thorough reviews with options, explain the costs, risks, and chance for success. I completed the procedure and rehab and I am golfing again for the first time in two years.

Cost, although not covered by insurance, was a fraction of what the surgical cost would’ve been. This is a top rate professional operation that cares about its patients, and has a history of successful treatment. The major hospitals, insurance, and everyone else should get on board and make this available to everyone. If you are struggling with pain, you should consult with Dr. Fortin and staff before making any decisions about surgery. STAR is not five stars they are 10 stars.

Dr. Fortin, Katie, and the entire staff have been incredible to work with. I was struggling with pain in my back which radiated to my hip, butt, groin, hamstring, and foot for 4 years without knowing the source of my pain or cause. Their detective work and patience with me has been awesome. With their help, I am able to walk again pain free and wrestle with my kids pain free. My ultimate goal is to run again and I continue to progress towards meeting that goal. He is the best professional and most knowledgeable spine doctor in Fort Wayne (and the entire midwest). Dr. Fortin and his staff do wonderfully responsive, state-of-the-art healing with a compassion and passion for excellence I have not experienced before going to them. I love Star Health and the entire Team. They are so Awesome. I am so Happy that they have changed my Life and given me back my Mobility. Before regenerative medicine, the four cysts on my finger were getting larger and larger and making it much harder to use my right hand. After treatment, I can hold a pen or pencil much easier than before and the overall use of my hand is much better.

This is a game changer!! Non invasive treatment and I have not had more than a twinge of pain in my knee since my second visit! I have had 3 treatments on my knee and I had relief after the first treatment and my knee has never felt better.

Fantastic doctor and team.

I started at STAR Health with a severe frozen shoulder and pinched nerve. Dr. Fortin explained everything very well and the procedures he wanted to do. Answered any questions that I had and didn’t rush me. It took about a year but pretty much my pain is gone, and I have almost full range of motion with my arm and shoulder.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Fortin and his staff.

Dr. Fortin and his team of experienced, educated, kind, compassionate, intelligent and self motivated employees are the best when it came to my back pain. He looked at my x-rays, zeroed in on my health problem, and fixed it with his staff in no time flat. You must however  follow his directions to the letter. I’ve been living in back and hip and leg pain for over four years with no successful treatment. If I ever need help again, this remarkable Dr. and his staff is who I will return to!!!

I had been suffering with pain in my lower back and right hip area for years. I had been going to another doctor. The only thing that he wanted to do was epidurals. Every time I went in, which was very frequently, I told him where my pain was located. I had numerous epidurals, ablations, anything that you could think of, except the right thing! I had no relief; in fact it was getting worse. I was never told that I had scoliosis – – known as curvature of the spine, severe curvature. Supposedly, he took an x-ray and never mentioned it. Also, he never hit the right area of the pain with the epidural. The ablations didn’t work.

I had PRP in my right shoulder because of the pain and he never took an x-ray -- therefore never knowing whether it would work or if there was even a chance of it working. It’s all about the money, not how can we make you feel better today.  I always got the same treatment, which was never helping, not even for a day. I kept telling myself that I wouldn’t go back, but I was always hopeful that at some point something would help.

By this time I was walking with a cane or walker and could barely get around. I was talking to a friend of mine and telling her about it and in doing so she referred me to Dr. Fortin, the Spine Technology and Rehabilitation center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

They have you fill out an application to see how severe the pain is on a scale of one to 10 and also a diagram so that you can mark exactly where you feel the pain.. The first visit was lengthy, but it was worth every minute, every second. I knew I couldn’t go on the way I was.. I no longer could do every day duties even dusting. After leaving his office, I felt hopeful. First time in a long time.

The first injection I had -- he hit the spot. I had relief immediately and it lasted for over a week. I couldn’t begin to tell you how long it had been since I had had one day of relief.. I have gone ahead and gone into a couple of programs that have proven very successful.

It just keeps getting better and better. I’m starting to feel like a real person again and that’s a really good feeling.. My only regrets, in a big regret, is the fact that I hadn’t gone there sooner. Please tell everyone you know about this review and tell them to tell everyone they know because this doctor is wonderful. He knows what he’s doing. He knows where he’s going and he knows how to fix it.
